The Fantastic Voyage is the way Christina whimsically chronicles her life as a parent, wife, and follower of God. Before becoming a mother and housewife, she worked as a nationally certified massage therapist. Once asked to describe herself, Christina said:
I’ve been told I have an eclectic taste in music. I wish I exercised more and practiced yoga or pilates. I’m brutally honest, oftentimes overly analytical and sometimes crass. I embrace truth, kindness and understanding. I fantasize about having a tidy home and having an endless supply of Edy’s Whole Fruit strawberry sorbet and Homemade Brand cookies n’ cream ice cream. Oh, and bacon. Man, you can’t forget about the bacon.
Christina and her husband Dorian have three children (often referred to as “the chicken wings”) – Deuce, Brad and Talia – who lovingly drive them crazy. Christina tries to be a domestic diva by channeling her inner June Cleaver, Clair Huxtable and Martha Stewart, but what comes out is something more akin to Lois Wilkerson, Marge Simpson and Roseanne Barr. Her unfiltered, sarcastic and sometimes shocking view of life is sure to either give you a giggle or send you away rolling your eyes; in either instance, you’re welcome.
